About Devon Duvets
Husband and wife team Dick and Pauline Beijen bought their flocks of sheep during the summer of 2008 as the first step into their idea of creating high quality, natural British wool duvets; the challenge being to develop a high quality duvet that draped and behaved as a duvet should. After more than a year of development work, the latter part of which was filmed by Channel 4 with Monty Don in his series 'My Dream Farm', Devon Duvets was born.
The concept of handcrafting British wool duvets and wool pillows in England was largely unthought of at that time and we are delighted that there is now a re-discovery of British wool that helps to support British farms.
There has been a huge demand for Devon Duvets’ high quality handcrafted wool duvets, wool mattresss toppers and wool pillows and has been appreciated by all. Devon Duvets continues to grow with Dick and Pauline remaining intimately involved in every step of the process, Pauline is the one who will always find time to speak with you and develops the website and new products. Dick runs the workshops, production and the whole concept of things - a real family run business! Innovations include the development of the unique patent pending folding pillow and luxurious wool mattress toppers that have added to the total Devon Duvets sleeping experience; enjoyed by many.
Our Classic and Organic Collections, made from Platinum Grade British Wool and 100% Cotton continue to be the most desired wool bedding within the UK with a national retail distribution through John Lewis, Selfridges, Harrods and many other quality stores.
The conscious use of natural materials that are renewable, responsible and environmentally friendly supports farming communities and protects the environment; helping to secure it for future generations.
The growth of Devon Duvets has allowed us to employ a growing number of employees to keep up with demand and maintain a real English handcrafted natural product.
Our staff are proud of their craftsmanship and this is evident in each uniquely handcrafted product made by Devon Duvets.
We hope that we prove that in England we can create and produce high quality products which are sought after by many.
Terms & Conditions
Returns
Devon Duvets will of course accept returns of all faulty goods and will refund the cost of the additional postage involved. Faulty goods can either be refunded or replaced.
Goods which are not faulty may be returned within 14 (fourteen) days of receipt if unopened and in the original packaging. We cannot refund the return postage.
Funds will be credited to the original method of payment.
Delivery
Although the quoted delivery period is 2 business days and the delivery cost Free here is the full detail on how we handle our deiveries:
Delivery is FREE for all orders over £50.00. Delivery for orders less than £50.00 is £5.95
Orders received Monday-Thursday by 3.00pm will be dispatched that same day for next day delivery.
Orders received Friday by 12.00 noon will be dispatched for Saturday delivery.
Orders received from Friday noon, Saturday and Sunday will be dispatched on Monday for next day delivery
Dispatches for orders made on Bank Holidays will be made the next working day.
