About Country Ways Oak
Our workshop and showrooms are based at Little Swailes Green Farm, situated in the tranquil Sussex weald in heart of the English countryside.Country Ways Oak furniture makers is a family-owned and managed business where our aim is to ensure everything fulfils, even exceeds, your expectations.
Celebrating the best of British Craftsmanship!
Craftmanship is simply ingrained into everything we do at Country Ways Oak furniture. We aim to create the highest quality handmade oak furniture, using long wide boards for table tops, our table legs are solid pieces of oak rather than small pieces glued together, along with time-honoured woodworking techniques. Using traditional tools such as tenon saws, mallets and chisels, each piece of oak furniture made by us is constructed with sturdy pegged mortice and tenon joints, our planked table tops are assembled without the need for glue, to deliver strength and durability.
Terms & Conditions
Solid Oak is affected by heat and moisture. A warm, dry environment will cause Oak to shrink, whilst a cold, moist environment will cause it to swell. Your new piece of furniture will benefit greatly by placing it in a position in a room well away from localised extremes of temperature, for example next to a radiator or exposed to direct sunlight.
In addition to knots and cracks naturally within your timber, a further level of “cracking” also known as “drying shakes” may occur. This is perfectly normal – the ageing process has begun and the character of your handmade piece of furniture is forming.
Knots, cracks, drying shakes and movement are inherent characteristics of natural wood and are NOT CONSIDERED A FAULT in the wood or our workmanship.
Confirmation of replacement item(s) and new delivery dates will be confirmed within 48 hours.
