Star Shaped Felted Coasters in Organic Shetland Oatmeal
Cosy Mama's new range of Felted Coasters are made from Organic Shetland Wool sourced from a flock of Shetland sheep at a small-holding in the Pembrokeshire countryside. The wool is certified as organic by the Soil Association and prepared at a local mill giving it a low carbon footprint. Alpaca fibre is also used for making the coasters and comes from Alpacas that are born and bred in the United Kingdom.
These Star motif coasters are available to order in either Organic Shetland Oatmeal, Alpaca Silver (shown here) or Alpaca Mist (browny grey shade).
The process of felting each item by hand is done with attention to detail in the design and finish. Their handmade nature means each product may vary slightly which adds to their unique quality. The wool or fibre is felted into small sheets and hand cut to size. The motifs are also hand-painted. The Coasters come in a set of 4 and measure approximately 10cm x 10cm square.
