Product Information

This 4 litre Netherton Foundry Cast Iron Casserole and Lid is a traditional cast iron cooking product made at the foundry in Shropshire.

It has been crafted from the finest materials (mostly local to Shropshire) and has been treated with easy clean flax oil coating in order to reduce sticking. It comes with an oak hardwood lid knob.

The cast iron pan is suitable for stove top cooking on gas and electric hobs, including ceramic, halogen and induction. A kitchen essential, the cast iron 4 litre casserole is not only perfect for making casseroles, stews & one pot roasting, but is versatile enough even for baking cakes and bread.

No chemicals or PTFE are used in the coating of the bowl. With induction and Ceramic hobs, check with manufacturer to ensure suitability.

Care & Maintenance

All products are supplied with full care instructions. Quick summary: You can use the cast iron bowls, lids and pans straight from the box. Simply wash in hot water. ; Do not use soap or detergent. Immediately dry with a towel. For best results we recommend that you give the bowl, lid or pan an extra coating of flax oil before first use. You can do this by following the instructions on re-seasoning at home that come with your product. The more you use the cast or spun iron and carefully follow the care instructions, the better the seasoned coating will become.
